January 23rd - Celebration Day!

Alexa began her birthday with a hot croissant in a cafe just under the Eiffel Tower. She then 'walked' all the way up to the second platform and looked out on the city.

Seeing the Sights

These were the sights Alexa took in while in Paris...well, in truth she only took in a half of the sights then she went to a kids play park while grandma, mom and dad hit the town!

I might be biased, but I think Alexa has as nice a smile as the Mona Lisa.

This was the view of the Eiffel Tower from our hotel. At midnight they turn on the special sparkle like you see in this picture.

Alexa with her Friends in Florida

To begin our 2009 Christmas celebration in the states Alexa went and spent some time in Florida with Ba Ba and Papi. It must have been like boot camp because she went there a fussy 23 month old and came back an angelic little girl!

It's funny though, this picture doesn't make it look like boot camp? It looks like Sesame Street watching with some friends!

Here is Alexa flying into her bean bag!!!

And a picture of her helping in the kitchen from her little stool!

Pretty in Pink

This is a cute hat and sweater knit by Alexa's grandma....who also became known as Beema over Christmas.

Christmas Pics from NY

Alexa was watching a DVD with her grandparents...when you look at
Grandpa Rick reclined in the back
ground you realize she's a chip
off the old block!

This is Alexa wondering if the snow will ever stop so Santa can come visit her!

I see the family resemblance in this one!

It took her a while but she finally warmed up to the snow (which was way over her head). At one point she did slip and wipe out face first though...it was just a little funny!

Come on, the Germans love their beer!!

Big Shoes to Fill!

Little Cowgirl

Alexa loves riding her horse! She actually drags it from room to room.

Alexa at the Ropes Course

Our little Angel

Alexa went to the Army base for trick or treating. She was tired and wanted to stop after a few houses but we insisted that she forge on and bring us home some American candy!!!

Alexa and her friend the Flash (our neighbor Matthew).

Alexa at the Pumpkin Patch!

Alexa is walking the dog...She is definitely the pack leader in that relationship!

So many pumpkins and fun things to do...but what could be more exciting that hay!

Alexa at the Volksfest in Mannheim

Alexa (at 21 months now). Had a great time at the Volksfest in Mannheim. She wasn't scared of anything and even rode a donkey all by herself (the camera lost battery for that one).

The conductor insisted that I ride the train with Alexa. For some reason he did not insist upon this for the other parents so it was me and 5 kids going round in circles for 15 mintues!

It's not John Deere, but she still looks cute

Just a little closer!!

Yes mom, I know this is bad for her eyes, but it cracks us up how close Alexa wants to get to the TV! If we let her she would sit on it!

Time for the winter hat to come out!
